Creating Canopies

The next Creating Canopies tree planting day is coming up soon! Greater Sydney Landcare Network, in partnership with Landcare NSW, is planting 100,000 trees across Greater Sydney from 2020 – 2022, as part of the Premier’s Greening our City initiative.

Through this project, we are partnering with Landcare groups, Bushcare groups, organisations, and keen individuals to improve canopy cover and habitat in Greater Sydney. We want to invite our community of dedicated GSLN members and supporters to get involved on the ground as volunteer tree planters.

Fairfield Hospital Tree Planting

Our next tree planting day is coming up on 9th October at Fairfield Hospital!

We're creating an urban forest at the Hospital for habitat and to provide a restorative environment for locals.

Green spaces aren't just great for urban ecosystems, they're also associated with better physical health, lower stress levels, and greater community satisfaction. Now's your chance to get involved with creating this healing space.

The planting patch, in the Fairfield Hospital grounds, is adjacent to Orphan School Creek, which provides an important wildlife corridor for small birds, microbats, and other native animals to travel through the landscape.

RSVPS are essential. You can register for the event HERE.
