Restrictions lifted on community sport
Last week, the NSW Office of Sport updated its guidelines for community sport to allow inter-district and inter-regional competitions to recommence from Saturday 26 September. This means that swimmers are now free to enter events outside their local areas.
Please remember, we all have a role to play in ensuring the safe enjoyment of our sport. Swimmers, parents and guardians/carers are reminded to continue to comply with existing measures that remain in place to reduce the risks of community transmission, which include good hygiene practices, physical distancing, and staying home if they are unwell.
Further, event attendees should also be aware of, and comply with, the instructions and restrictions in place when attending events. Specifically for swim meets, all attendees, including coaches, managers, officials, volunteers, spectators, and swimmers, must read, understand and agree to comply with the event organiser's COVID-19 Terms & Conditions and Meet Information for Attendees prior to nominating and/or attending an event.
