Classrooms Need Your Help!
Call For Classroom Room Reps!
Your classrooms need your HELP! We are still looking for volunteers to fill our Room rep positions for this year.

Typically we have a "Communications Rep" and "Events Rep" and these roles will work a little differently this year, given we will not be celebrating IN the classroom, but both are still crucial roles to our classroom communities this year.

Communication Reps will still be the classroom liaison for school communications for PTA and other non-administration initiated emails; while our Events Reps will work with our Community Engagement Chair to coordinate/ host classroom specific community building events (online student lunch 'meet-ups', creating and sharing classroom contact lists in compliance with FERPA laws, connecting parents to help each other out and share 'tricks of this new online school trade', across-grade pen pals etc).

If you have ANY questions and/or are interested in volunteering in either of these roles, please reach out to Yeechi Chen, our Room Rep Coordinatorwwroomrepcoord@gmail.com.

Also, if you have any suggestions for Community Building events/ activities that work within the constraints of COVID19, please reach out to Community Engagement Chair, Lindsey Clibbornlindseyclibborn@gmail.com

Classrooms still needing volunteers for one or both positions are: (K) Findlay, Heathcote, York-Jones; (1) Healey, Walters, Skudlarick; (2) King, Hanna, Farbarik, Nelson; (4) Pluger, Hogue, Leth; (5) Langley, Weschler, Williams

To help with obtaining permissions for sharing your information in classroom contact lists, in compliance with FERPA (Family Educational Rights & Privacy Act), as well as to expedite completion of our school directory, please be sure you have submitted your response to THIS FORM, which provides the PTA with permission to include your information in lists shared within classrooms and the school community.

Although school will look very different this year, there are still many reasons you should join the PTA!  The PTA will continue working hard to: create community by connecting parents and teachers, facilitate communication between the school and parents, host events (yes, virtually!), provide tech support that the school needs (now more than ever!), fund art programs, support teachers with discretionary funds to improve their classrooms, provide book to our school’s library, track and advocate for beneficial educational legislation, and more!
