We hope you're all taking a well earned break and getting your much needed rest during the holiday break.

We are working hard behind the scenes gearing up for a busy virtual conference month ahead - all the details are below! We have also made a page of quick-start DT activities that you can use next term, and share with your colleagues to help them get started.

DT @ School: plan an hour or a day of DT in Term 4

We can all agree 2020 has been a hard year to stick to the plans that were so well laid out back in term 1. We've heard from many teachers that their planned DT activities went out the window back in March.

We've prepared a quick-start guide for fitting some DT into term 4, just for primary teachers. We hope you'll share this with your teaching colleagues and encourage everyone at your school to have a go.

These activities that are easy to use in the classroom, with:
  • minimal prep
  • no tricky set up
  • students creating evidence of their learning
  • clear curriculum alignment
If you've been unsure where to start, this page is the place!

My Digital Maker Fair

The My Digital Maker fair is on next week and we are a collaborator! Traditionally based in Malaysia they've gone virtual so teachers and students from all around the world can join!

The fair aims to inspire students and teachers alike, showcasing STEM careers and new and emerging technologies. There are plenty of talks for parents and educators to feed curiosity for all things digital.

Registration for the fair is free! Check out our Jetsons style booth!
We will have staff online at the both all of next week. Our Academic Director James Curran and lead of the Cyber Security Challenges project, Bruce Fuda, will be presenting talks during the fair.  If you haven't had an opportunity to hear James or Bruce speak, this is a fantastic chance.
