GOOD PUBLIC GOVERNANCE IN A GLOBAL PANDEMIC - IIAS Special Report
Managing Global Pandemics: Public governance matters

With the forthcoming publication of the IIAS Report on Good Public Governance in the Pandemic, we will begin to reflect on the lessons of managing the first wave of COVID-19. We will have the opportunity to present and discuss the main lessons in terms of management of the health sector, emergency measures taken in a context of crisis for stopping a dangerous virus, the rationality of these measures taking into account the difficult balance between health and economy, the relationships between government and public and the trust of citizens, as well as the role of experts.

This publication also opens new avenues of research on governance in times of crisis.
