2020 Autumn Updates

Order Fulfillment - Wildfires - Garlic & Shallots - 2021 Catalog

First and most important, thank you all so much for the tremendous outpouring of support in response to our evacuation and wildfire threat. Our spirits were uplifted by all who reached out, and we are so appreciative of all you do to support us. After evacuating on September 9th, we are still moving things back in to the farm, home, and office. As many of you know, September is a critical month for seed harvest and processing and, needless to say, we've missed a lot. Sarah and Andrew have been posting a bit more of the story on Instagram and Facebook and also here is a link to an article on The Counter about our (and other's) experience. If you want to help those who are recovering, here's a compilation of resources put together by Travel Oregon, and some farmer specific resources from Organic Seed Alliance.

And now for our big announcement – we have made the difficult decision that beginning today, October 1, we are not accepting new orders for the remainder of the season. We are just simply SO behind on everything, and it's October(!) already, so we must turn all of our attention and resources towards being ready for 2021 sales. We will reopen the online store with great fanfare when we launch our 2021 Catalog in December. That announcement will be made through this newsletter (so make sure you're signed up) and our other social media channels. In the meantime, you can still view our complete catalog with all our varieties, growing information, etc., on our website.

For those of you with pending orders, we plan to have all garlic and shallot orders shipped by the end of next week (Oct 9). All other orders currently in our processing queue will be fulfilled and shipped as soon as possible. If you have additional questions or concerns, email us at seed@adaptiveseeds.com

Last, we just want to say Thank You again for all your support. If it weren't for all of you supporting us in our work we would not be able to make this decision. As we've reiterated before, we are committed to the work of providing resilient, open pollinated, organic seed for generations. With that we must remember to keep our eyes, hearts, and minds on the long game towards equity and justice. Remain accountable, and rest when you need it. We'll be meeting 2021 with strength and we hope you'll join us.
