👊 Welcome to the Latest Edition of the Official Super-Mammoth-Sized Newsletter of Epic Proportions of Techy-ness!

Thanks so much for signing up for the mammoth-sized newsletter.  They usually go out around the last week of every month. If you find something useful, share it with others.

🤔 Thought Bubble

Happy Today!

I've seen THIS before, but was reminded about it this week. When we draw, we remember more. So, a challenge to you this month is to see how you can add some visuals to something and report back what your students thought of it. Did it improve their retention? Did it help them?

My current LEAPS for this week. (Also, could be used as an exit ticket, or check-in with students)

L: Learn : something new or an idea worth sharing
E: Energy : Something that's creating an energy and positive impact, focusing on an emotion or positive energy
A: Action: Something to do that might make a big difference
P: Processing : a question to think about and consider
S: Shout Out : something or someone that deserves recognition or to be celebrated

L: Learn : The Discussion Game: How To Get Kids Talking in Synchronous Learning
E: Energy :  Brush pens are fun.
A: Action: I need to finish up a PBL Video Mini-Course I keep putting off.
P: Processing : How can I add more visuals to things? Or What can I change to be more visual?
S: Shout Out : To those teachers that are teaching in person and online.

May your day be great.

Stay Curious.

Give more than you take.

👩‍🏫👨‍🏫 Teaching With Tech Links

As much as I love tech, good teaching and learning should drive your instruction. Technology is simply a piece of the car getting you to your destination. This is a collection of links that I find in my travels, that might have some benefit to you.

📋 eCoaching Sessions

Thinking about setting up some formal coaching huddles where you and I would meet regularly (not sure what regularly means at this time) and we'd work on just one thing you want to improve or on a challenge that you have. It could be over anything teaching related, not just technology.

I think it would look something like the following. If you're interested in doing something like this, please let me know.

  1. Identify a challenge/goal you have
  2. Investigate strategies to tackle your challenge/goal
  3. Select one to try
  4. Implement the strategy
  5. Reflect on it.

HERE  are ways that I can help in your classroom. I'm up for anything :)
