We are super excited to be hosting the candidates' debate tonight at the Marae between Debbie Ngarewa-Packer and Adrian Rurawhe.

We invite whānau to engage with the election and have the opportunity to bring the issues dear to your hearts directly to the candidates.

This position is currently vacant - if you are interested in joining the Club as Secretary, please email Trini Ropata-Tawhiri.  The only pre-requisite the holder of the Secretary position must be Ngati Toa Ahi Kaa.

For all age groups.  If you are interested in paddling with TOA Waka Ama this year, please come along to our Whanau Day on Saturday 10 October, or send us an email anytime. We welcome all new/beginner, novice and all previous paddlers to the Club.

Over the next two months, we will be holding three wānanga at the Marae with the objective to form a sound foundation for a feasibility study on our Kaumātua Housing Project .  We invite You and Your whānau/hapu to attend as we value your input and moemoea for our Kaumātua.

Wānanga 1 - Explore with wider whānau spatial relationships, site context etc. 

Discuss site context, whakapapa of the site etc. 

Workshop spatial relationships, and functional requirements 

  

23rd October 2020 – 6 -8 pm 

Wānanga 2 – Consolidate above with wider whānau and start workshopping concept options 

Consolidate preferred arrangements, planning and massing 

Start discussing and workshopping concept options 

Discuss precedents/typologies

Wānanga 3 – Present Concept 

Present finished concept design report and costing 
Discuss next steps of the design process

In the post-covid environment, the Trust is currently looking at potential opportunities to secure more employment opportunities for our people and we would like to know if there are any whānau out there who may be looking for physical mahi doing pest control, fencing or planting? At this stage we can’t guarantee this work but it’s helpful to know if there are whānau who would be able to take job opportunities if we can create any.

Alert Levels

In Auckland at Alert Level 2, wearing masks remains mandatory on domestic flights to, from or through Auckland, and on public transport such as trains, buses and ferries. Gatherings may include up to 100 people.

For the rest of New Zealand at Alert Level 1, wearing masks on domestic flights to, from or through Auckland is mandatory. While it is not mandatory to wear a mask on public transport, it is encouraged.
