We are super excited to announce our SWINGING FOR THE BOYS VIRTUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT October 1st - October 15th!
2020 has given us both a year of challenges as well as opportunities to innovate. And like you, we are working hard to continue our impact on our constituents, while planning for the future. Prior to a the COVID-19 restrictions, we were aiming for hosting a summer golf tournament this year. However, given our new climate we have decided to launch a national virtual golf fundraising event. I know this may seem a little odd, but we have seen the success of virtual races over the last few months. In addition, golf fundraising is up 22% during this unique time.
For further context, any golfer across the country will sign up to play at their preferred course and score live on the mobile app and integrated leaderboard, seen by all participants. All revenue collected with this event is 100% tax deductible; including mulligans, registration fees, sponsorships, and donations – and will be restricted to our critical mission of improving the life outcomes of young men and boys of color.
We are hoping you and your golfing friends will join us in our critical work by playing in our virtual golf tournament. Registration for the event is $75. You will still have to pay the local green fee at the course you play your round. The $75 registration fee and any mulligans your purchase will be your donation to our foundation.
