Beginners/Brickwall session on Landownership - Nick Davey
Join Nick Davey as he traces the history of two fields that James Harvey Insole purchased to build his house in Llandaff, in the County of Cardiff. Using a variety of sources from Tithe maps, Estate surveys, Tax records, Wills & monumental inscriptions he uncovers 150 years of history.
- Discover what the available sources are for researching land ownership and if they are accessible online or not.
- Tips on any available shortcuts to help you in your research and identifying when there is no alternative but a longer research strategy.
- Plus, a recommended reading list and a handy list of useful websites.

This will be an introduction to the Resources on Glamorgan FHS website; how to check for record collections on Ancestry and Find My Past; including new resources recently available.
