Missing your login information? If you, as a volunteer, didn’t get the login email, you can just go to the campaign site gsnutsandmags.com/gsgi, choose “Volunteer” and select “Forgot Password.” (Use the same email address you use with Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa (GSGI)). This will allow you to reset your password and gain access to the My System.

Girls (parents/guardians) can also go to the campaign site
gsnutsandmags.com/gsgi after Thursday, October 1 to register and log in, even if they didn’t get the login email.

If you still need help accessing the M2 System let us know at
info@gsiowa.org!

If you have questions about the M2 System platform, you can contact M2 at (800) 372-8520 or
question@gsnutsandmags.com.

The M2 System for Girls

Here are some of the key things parents and guardians will want to look for or complete in the M2 System for a successful start to the Fall Program for their Girl Scout(s):
  • Look for the login email from you (their TPM) OR Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa.  If you set-up your troop launch email on or prior to today, Thursday, October 1, girls will receive an email with their login information from you!
If not, no worries, the system will automatically email all girls on Friday, October 2 to set-up their Fall Product site.
  • Create their avatar and customized patch:
Once girls login to the M2 System, they will be prompted to create their custom avatar. They can also record a message for their avatar to say during this step!

Once their avatar is created, there is one additional step for girls to create their custom patch. Click the “Your Patch” link under the “Fun Stuff” section. They will select their patch background and confirm their shipping address there - then they’re good to go!

Girls will earn their custom avatar patch when they send 15+ emails and sell $300+ combined Fall Product sales.
  • Create their personalized campaign and promote it!
The next step is for girls to create and promote their campaign in the M2 System! In these sections they can set-up their personalized storefront and marketing. Here they can add a photo or video for their customers, enter contact information for their customers, share to social media, create their business cards, enter Nut Order Card orders, and select their reward choices!

Note: Only Nut Order Card orders will need to be submitted in the M2 System.  If an order is placed online for direct-ship or girl-delivery those orders are already calculated in the M2 System and do not need to be entered again.

For Fall Product, we wanted you to be able to earn your customized avatar patch just for having your troop participate, but we don’t want to stop there! We’re also giving our Product Program volunteers (TPMs, SUPCs, and Juliette Parent/Guardians) their customized avatar on their own Cookie Crossover patch! This will be available to any volunteer who participates in both programs and will be sent to you after the completion of the 2021 Cookie Season.

Helping Set Girls Up for Fall Product Success

Want to help your troop reach new customers through the M2 System’s easy online Girl Dashboard? Here are some ways you can help your Girl Scouts set up their store:

Be sure all your troop parents/guardians have the link to the M2 System – gsnutsandmags.com/gsgi.

Let them know registration emails for the M2 System come from you on Thursday, October 1 OR Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa (email@mail.gsnutsandmags.com) on Friday, October 2. Don't forget to remind them to check their Spam/Junk/Promotional folders! If a girl did not receive her login email, she can do one of the following to gain access to the M2 System:
  1. Go to the M2 Registration website and register as a new user. We will be notified the girl has set-up her online account this way and we will move her into the correct troop. This allows girls to get started with the Fall Product Program right away!
  2. Contact us at info@gsiowa.org and we will get girls uploaded in the M2 System.
Set aside time at a troop meeting to help girls send 15 or more emails so that they earn the Swimming Sloth patch!

Don’t forget about their customized avatar patch! Girls can earn the avatar they create in the M2 System on a customized patch when they sell 15+ emails and $300 in total combined Fall Product sales.

Encourage girls to create videos (they can link these within their Girl Dashboard). Girls who add videos will have 50% more sales than girls who do not. You can make this a fun activity with your troop and have a video creation challenge to encourage participation!

Also, girls can accept credit cards for orders from customers by using the girl-delivery feature online with the M2 System. This allows customers to pay for their product any way they prefer, get free delivery, and support their favorite Girl Scout! Girls will get pick-up their girl-delivery and Nut Order Card product at the same time, from you in November.

You can provide parents and guardians with additional safe selling tips in the Fall Product Program Safe Selling Guidelines!

Social Media and the Product Programs

The Fall Product Program is a girl-led business. We know parents are great helpers every step of the way, and that includes helping girls reach out to extended audiences, connect with customers, and spread the word about Fall Product through social media. With that, we want to encourage responsible use of social media sites to keep girl safety and the girl-led purpose of the Product Programs top-of-mind.

Girl Scouts are encouraged to set up their M2 System Girl Dashboard to market their business and offer customers a way to order online. (Psst! It’s super easy to share your online store via Facebook and Twitter, even via texting!)

Have a conversation with your troop about safe ways to use social media, which don’t involve sharing a girl’s personal information to an unfamiliar audience. This can be anything from sharing a picture of an adorable poster she made to your family and friends, to encouraging them to create their own video for you to share with your network.

As in all aspects of the Fall Program, safety should be taken very seriously by anyone posting on social media sites. Parents/guardians are encouraged to teach their daughters safe and responsible use of social media, including the importance of protecting your personal information online.
