Dear Annunciation Families,
It is hard to believe that today is October 1st and that we are nearing the end of our 5th week of school. Thank you to everyone for your understanding and support as we continue to navigate all the new protocols and procedures of school during a pandemic. The joy and excitement that is present in the school everyday is a testament to the importance of in-person learning.
Kari Zobel,
Principal

The PYP (IB’s Primary Years Program) is a transdisciplinary program organized around six themes of global significance.
Learn More about the Transdisciplinary Themes
Teachers are guided by these six transdisciplinary themes as they design units of inquiry. Each grade level completes a unit of inquiry under each of these themes during the school year. In the next weeks, we will wrap up our first unit of inquiry, teachers will take time to reflect on the unit and how students demonstrated knowledge and took action based on their learning.
Grades K, 1, 2, 3, 5 are currently working on the Who We Are unit of inquiry. 4th grade is currently working on the How We Organize Ourselves unit of inquiry.

We will be accepting used uniform donations on Monday, October 5th!
We will only be accepting donations on the first Monday of every month, so please bring them in on those designated days only. Uniform donations need to be washed prior to donating and placed in a plastic or paper bag when delivering to the school.
Since the weather is starting to get more chilly, we are looking for donations of sweatshirts, long sleeve shirts and pants. We are also still in great need of size small or medium shirts!

Please mark your child's name on all of their things! The lost and found is filling up with lots of jackets, water bottles and Annunciation sweatshirts that have not been labeled. Items that have a name on them, have a good chance of being returned to your child. Articles in the lost and found will be held for about 2 weeks before they are donated.
