Ask your Member of Congress to prioritize hunger in the updated HEROES Act

Another stimulus bill could be voted on as early as this morning.
The House recently released an updated version of the HEROES Act - another opportunity for further COVID-19 stimulus legislation. As the pandemic and it's economic downfall continue to impact our neighbors greatly, this bill offers strong support for nutrition programs that will help keep our neighbors fed during these dire times.
This bill contains critical investments in federal nutrition programs through September 2021, so hunger won't have to be an ongoing worry as the uncertainty of this crisis continues. It offers a 15% increase to the SNAP maximum benefit, $450M in TEFAP funding, and other provisions for programs like child nutrition and WIC. While this bill offers key provisions to help keep food on the plates of our neighbors, we need to make sure hunger stays front-of-mind for our legislators as they continue to negotiate.
This bill could go to a vote in the House as early as this morning. Before it does, we urge you to contact your Member of Congress and voice your support for the investments in federal nutrition programs included in this stimulus bill. Your voice can help feed your neighbors for the duration of the pandemic - don't wait to speak up.
