Zoom Passwords for Carpentries Community Events
Effective 2020-09-27, Zoom is requiring passwords on all meeting rooms. If you formerly were using the link https://carpentries.zoom.us/my/carpentriesroomX, where the X is 1, 2, or 3, you may see a link with an encrypted password in it. This will take you directly to the Zoom call. If you do not see this, you can enter the password 202020 when prompted - it is the same on all three rooms. Please contact team@carpentries.org if you have any trouble doing so.

Committee and Task Force News
Update from the Executive Council
One of the tasks of the Executive Council is amending the bylaws every second year. The first bylaws were approved by the first Executive Council of the Carpentries in 2018. The current Executive Council was tasked with the first revision this year, and has resulted in a first set of amendments. A second set will come before the end of the current council's term.
A list of the amendments made is below:
• The Carpentries vision statement was added
• Language in several places was clarified
• A link to the Lesson Program Policy was added
• The roles, terms, operations of, and election timeline for the Executive Council were clarified

Apply to Become a Carpentries Feedback Facilitator
The Carpentries recently introduced the new Carpentries Community Facilitation program. As part of that, we are putting forth a call for those interested in joining the first cohort of Feedback Facilitators. For more information and to apply, please read this blog post. Announcing Library Carpentry Efforts with the Network of the National Library of Medicine
The Carpentries is pleased to announce our efforts to build the data skills of information professionals through our relationship with the Network of the National Library of Medicine (NNLM). NNLM members will make use of the skills taught in Library Carpentry (LC) workshops to benefit health, health information, and biomedical research communities.
