Understanding IEPs and 504 Plans

In this session, participants will understand the difference between services and supports under IDEA through an Individual Education Plan or a 504 Plan.

Learn how accommodations and modifications support learners either through an Individual Education Plan or a 504 plan.

Addressing Transitions and High School Graduation

There are times throughout a student's life where key transitions occur, from the first day of school and beyond. This session discusses the importance of preparing students for transitions they will face.

The Strategies to Support Early Literacy Learning is for South Dakota in-home childcare providers and will be held online three Thursdays in a row from 6 - 8 PM Mountain Time: October 22, October 29, & November 5.

This eight-week online, self-paced book study is designed to provide educators at all levels with insights and practical strategies to improve classroom culture, as well as classroom management. Learners will walk away with a raised awareness of trauma-informed practices, as well as a plan for self-care and relationship-building ideas. Starts November 1.

Join the Statewide Family Engagement Center on a journey to learn about trauma in children, how it affects brain development and behavior, and how to implement trauma-informed practices into your work and your environment. This webinar series will consist of five 60-minute sessions throughout the Fall of 2020 and will be beneficial to educators, childcare providers, and anyone who works with children.
