"Developing a passion for Christ by equipping disciples & reaching the lost."
God's faithfulness has been constantly on my mind since 2020 began. There are so many examples in my personal life that I cannot count them all. As anniversary Sunday approaches I cannot help but reflect on His faithfulness to this church body, and there are many examples of this as well.

One of my favorite examples of God's faithfulness is during the 2008 recession. Our congregation had been meeting in the trailers next door for about 8 years and we were ready to build a facility to better suit our needs. We started a building campaign and had received an amazing amount of support. The story goes that the loan official was meeting with our building team. We were ready to sign the mortgage paperwork when he was called by the CEO of his bank telling him to shut down all loans because the economy had crashed.

We were devastated. It felt like the rug had been pulled out from below us. Families that had been integral to our church body decided to move to other churches. It seemed like the building process would never happen, but still God was faithful.

We restarted the building process in 2013 in a much better financial position than 5 years prior. We were able to get a much larger building for the same cost and an even better interest rate.

It is amazing to look back at situations like this and see God's hand at work in the life of this church. We praise Him for the 19 years as an official church and we look forward to the great things He has in store for Redeemer going forward.
