Midweek Update, September 23, 2020
Updates on Reopening
As the pandemic continues to be under a little better control, we continue to reopen services and ministries.
- The Mary Martha class has resumed in the atrium on Wednesday mornings at 10 AM. They are practicing social distancing, wearing masks, and taking precautions to keep all safe.
- Children’s Classes have resumed on Sunday mornings. Children will be dismissed before the sermon time around 10:45 AM and continue their class until 11:30 AM.
- Also, on Sunday, October 4, we will resume our in-person adult Bible class at 9 AM in the Atrium. We will resume our discussion of our readings in the One Year Bible.
- We will continue our Prayer Garden Service at 8 AM until further notice. In the event of bad weather, we will move the 8 AM service to the Ark.
Operation Christmas Child
Students of Flight 56 will once again lead the congregation in the Operation Christmas Child project starting Oct. 11.
Trunk 'n Treat
In lieu of the indoor Fall Festival, we are planning an outdoor Trunk 'n Treat in the parking lot on Sunday, Oct. 25. This will be a great way to reach out to our community! More details to follow.
Youth Ministry
Wednesday September 23: “Saw you at the pole” an area wide youth event. For those who can we will meet at Park Avenue at 6 PM for dinner. At 6:30 PM we will go to Parkside Baptist church and return to Park Avenue at 8:10 PM. Parents if you are available we could use
a couple volunteers please!
Saturday September 26: James Bird is putting on a night of worship and prayer up at Lake Durant. It starts at 7 PM. For those that would like to ride together we will leave Park Avenue around 6 PM. Families are invited to join us!

Men’s Conference—December 4 –5
