Nǐ hǎo!

That's the Chinese equivalent of hello. You may recall that I was supposed to travel to Beijing in February, but cancelled that trip due to the coronavirus. It seems like so long ago!

Since my last email about a month ago, not much has changed. I did celebrate a birthday over Zoom and ate some cake with my immediate family! 🎂 🎉

Many of you have asked when it will be safe to travel again, and when I plan to get back out there. I am not qualified to advise on the safety of travel and instead defer to public health authorities in the United States and around the world. Many of my friends (and some of you) are traveling right now, though.

Next month, I am planning to take my first trip since I entered lockdown in March. Where to go and how to mitigate risk as much as possible are the questions that I am working to answer. My trip will be limited to the United States, since so many International destinations remain closed to us. I'll share the full details of my planning process in the next newsletter about two weeks from now, so stay tuned!

Below, you'll find links to new articles that I hope you will read & share with your friends on social media. As always, I welcome your feedback and comments.

Wishing you all the best,
— John Morris
