It's been less than three weeks since we last wrote and we're blown away by how God has been working. So many of our prayers have been answered and we've been given more than ample confirmation and peace of mind in this new direction. Just a few of the ways God has answered our prayers are:
Confirmation from you, our supporters, both in word and deed. THANK YOU!
Growth in our marriage and family, despite the tough transition
The generous provision of two vehicles
A wonderful rental home just four miles from Fort Wilderness
Numerous inexpensive or free pieces of furniture, kids clothes, and home goods
We're grateful for you in this time of transition
So many of you have reached out to encourage us or offer wisdom or tangible gifts to our family. We can't begin to explain what it means to have the support of the Body of Christ during this time. Not only does it calm our hearts and give us renewed energy, but it confirms the direction that God is calling us. You are a blessing to us, and we are so grateful. Thank you!
Two important steps
Right now, we're in Indiana packing up and preparing to transition to life at Fort Wilderness. We hope to be on the road by October 1st, but we can't do that until at least 85% of our supporters "make the switch."
We'd love to have your continued support as we head to the Northwoods! Would you join us?

Continued prayer
We're eager to make the transition North. As we do, would you join us in praying for:
Increased financial support needs to be met in time to begin serving at Fort in October
The ability to process the transition and navigate all of the changes well, both individually and as a family
Continued and deepening closeness and rootedness in the Lord
Healing for Nicaragua and courage for the McEwans and our Nicaraguan friends as they walk through this challenging time.
Love in Christ,
Kurtis, Carrie, Evelyn, & Kohen
