Consultation on the Code of Practice on the Delivery of Autism Services

We want your views. Welsh Government has issued the draft Statutory Code of Practice on the Delivery of Autism Services and an accompanying guidance document for public consultation which will run for 12 weeks to 14 December.  

The consultation can be found at the following web page: https://gov.wales/code-practice-provision-autism-services.

for the National Social Care 2020 Digital Conference

We are excited to announce that our annual national conference will go ahead online.

The event will focus on recognising the extraordinary efforts of social workers and care workers who've continued to provide critical care and support throughout the covid pandemic; and on looking ahead to re-stabilising the sector, taking forward positive new practices and working together to build care services fit for the future.

Beat Flu campaign 2020/21

Public Health Wales have recently launched their Beat Flu campaign, with a range of resources and campaign material available to help get the message out.

Age Cymru HOPE Project

The HOPE Project are hosting the Advocacy “Big Events” during the weeks beginning 21 October 20 and 2 November 20.
This years “Big Events” will be held virtually via a series of webinars for adult advocacy providers across Wales on the following topics:
  • Findings on blanket decision making during the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Peoples/human rights being overridden during the lockdown
  • Mental health impact on staff and clients and their well-being during lockdown
  • Why referrals for advocacy reduced so significantly and the challenges this caused for people
  • Principles for delivering advocacy during COVID-19 and beyond
  • The impact of lockdown on carers and the impact of support services being withdrawn
