State of Wisconsin Medical Coder’s Day

Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers has proclaimed October 2, 2020 as Medical Coder’s Day! Hats off to the medical coding professionals who keep health information human!  Coders are key stakeholders in translating diagnostic data into usable data that healthcare providers can use to improve patient care! Thank you to all medical coders!

To all medical coders: Send your picture and name to whima@whima.org and we will showcase you in next week’s e-Alert!

To WCTC Health Information Student Club: Thank you for your initiative and work with the Governor’s office to bring recognition to all medical coders in the State of Wisconsin!

Tables, including the CM/PCS new, invalid, revised codes, updated CC/MCC listing, as well as MSDRG (version 38), can all be found here.
