We are excited to share that we will have A (virtual) Night on the Farm dinner series this October! Although we are sad that we can't gather together in person like we usually do in the fall, we have been working on some amazing partnerships that will allow you to enjoy Common Good produce and the talent of local chefs from your own home!  We want to thank these chefs in advance for partnering with us and we hope you will support their businesses through our event and your regular patronage!

See our upcoming events section below for full details of our upcoming dinner series and to select which one sounds the best to you! Usually, we offer an early bird discount for A Night on the Farm. We decided to bring it back for customers who help us launch the series by choosing 1 of the first 2 dinners. Use promo code EARLYBIRD for a 20% discount off the dinners from Brookland's Finest (on Thursday, October 1) or Big Bear Cafe (on Monday, October 5).
Support our Produce Giveaway Efforts!
During this time of social distancing, Wednesdays have become a special day when we get to see and check in with neighbors briefly at our produce distribution. As staff and volunteers it is great for us to get to see our community and share fresh produce with them. Below we share the words of some community members who have been receiving the produce shares.
This is helpful because I don't eat meat and I appreciate getting this box of produce, because sometimes I don't have the funds to buy veggies.

I discovered Common Good City Farm from a post on the Popville blog. The post mentioned the free vegetable program and that excited me. When I mentioned it to my neighbors, they wanted to participate too. It's fun to experiment with ingredients that I haven't used previously. For example - Kalettes! I had to use Google to get a better understanding of how to cook it and its nutritional value. The most rewarding experience is how the neighbors and I are creating memories using items from this wonderful farm.

The produce distribution at Common Good City Farm this year has been a true blessing! With the Covid 19 pandemic this year especially, the ability to find quality produce locally grown and organic has been really difficult. The produce box has offered the ability to eat healthier and in some cases challenge my preparation skills with certain produce I may not normally invest in. I enjoy making healthy smoothies and veggie dishes I would normally order at restaurants more than prepare at home.

My favorites have been the assorted fruits and the onions, peppers and greens. The watermelon this year has been exceptionally awesome too. Every box has been carefully packed and delivered with the love and respect our community deserves from our community. Our Common Good City Farm has been the biggest blessing our community has to offer. I’m blessed to have access to our Common Good City Farm and it’s resources in serving our community.

The Produce Plus Program has been funding half of the boxes we give away and it will be over at the end of September. We want to make sure we have the funds to purchase enough boxes to meet the demand of all our community members in October.  Here's how you can help!
