CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR
2020-2021 LODGE CHIEF
Congratulations to DJ Garza who was named 2020-2021 Aina Topa Hutsi Lodge Chief.  He hosted his first LEC this past weekend and got approval to add two other members to the Lodge Executive Committee.  Evan McWhirt was approved as the Vice Chief of Media and Jacob Hall was approved as the Vice Chief of Finance.
DJ has hit the ground running and is working hard with the executive committee to revamp and realign the Lodge calendar to help breathe life back into the Lodge by getting chapters active again.

Are you interested in being on a committee within the Lodge?  We are looking for committee members, please email administration@ainatophutsi.org if you would like more information or are interested in being part of the team.

FALL FELLOWSHIP & VIGIL CALL-OUT
All council/lodge events have been moved to 2021.  Right now our Vigil Call-out will be held during the February Gathering and Induction weekend which is scheduled for FEBRUARY 19-21, 2021
at BEAR CREEK SCOUT RESERVATION.
CHAPTER LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT (CLD)
CLD is coming up quick! It will be held virtually on December 12th, MARK YOUR CALENDARS! 
If you have any particular topic that you want covered, please send in an email. The deadline to request any topics is October 24th, so we can have a list to approve at the October LEC.

We currently have the following topics that people were interested in:
How chapter chiefs can activate their members.
How to increase participation within the chapter.
Information for Chapter Advisors.

From the desk of the VC of Inductions
The Inductions team is busy planning the February ordeal, it will be a huge weekend and we need all the help we can get from both the youth and adults of our Lodge. If an Arrowman wish to help with the February induction in any form or fashion to please email inductions@ainatopahutsi.org.  We will need brotherhood testers, ceremonialists, check-in helpers, medics, food handlers, and Elangomats!

A CHALLENGE TO OUR CHAPTERS
The Inductions team has issued a challenge to each chapter to put together a pre ordeal team and ordeal team for the February induction weekend. Whenever they put the team together we would like them to attend the ceremony meetings and email inductions@ainatopahutsi.org with the names of the Arrowmen who are on the teams.  Please also email if you have any questions!!

The next ceremonies meeting is on October 8th at 7:30 via zoom, if an arrowman wishes to attend the meeting they need to email inductions@ainatopahutsi.org with a request to go.
KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR MORE
INFORMATION WINTER BANQUET
ATH LODGE WINTER BANQUET is scheduled for January 30, 2021.
Our programs team has been working to finalize our venue and caterer, and this information will be brought up at our October LEC so you don’t want to miss it! Registration will open shortly after the LEC, and will include improved dietary options for our Arrowmen!

THE SILENT AUCTION IS BACK!!
For the Lodge Banquet we will have a silent auction! If anyone has scouting appropriate items such as patches that they would like to donate for this fundraiser please contact programs@ainatopahutsi.org. Donations can be from individuals, units, and even chapters! If you have something besides a physical item that you would like to donate that is totally fine, we will just let you know if we can use it!

DO YOU LOVE PATCHES LIKE WE DO??

This year’s Banquet Patch will be created by all of you in the form of a patch design competition! We decided to bring back the patch because we feel it’s been too long since the Lodge has made an event patch. The rules for entry are simple: Your patch submission can be in any standard patch shape, and the design has to be scout appropriate and related to the Lodge Banquet. You can make your patch about the theme of Momentum, but it can also be about what makes this year and event special. Feel free to get creative!
 
You can email your submissions to programs@ainatopahutsi.org starting now, and the contest will be closed on October 24th. We will vote on the final design at the October LEC. We look forward to seeing your submissions!
It's that time and if you want to stay an active member of the Lodge you have to pay your dues.
Your dues provide funding for high quality events, camper-ships and camp improvement.
Just remember to pay your dues as soon as possible.

Another reason to pay your dues -- you aren't considered a member in good standing unless you are up to date on your dues.  Only members in good standing can vote during elections!  The number of members in good standing that we have also determines how many vigil nominees we can have each year, so we really need you to pay your dues!!

If you have paid your 2020 dues, THANK YOU!!  We will be opening the 2021 dues link in November.
