This project started in the spring with a Kickstarter campaign, and I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make it happen.
I'll be honest—politics can be pretty demoralizing. Every day seems to get more contentious. Some days I want to just shut it off and walk away.
But I think those are the days we need a book like this more than ever. We need to start more conversations and pick fewer fights. We need to seek understanding and find something to celebrate even in people we disagree with.
I realize that's a tall order. But I think it's vital.
