Warden's Parish News 25 September
Dear Friends
This week we welcome Rev Jonathan Boyce to preside over our services – thank you Jonathan.
Please remember that daylight saving starts this weekend so don’t forget to put your clocks forward one hour on Saturday night.
We are back in Level 1 (long may we stay here) and so will be able to share the peace with a handshake if we are comfortable with doing this, have communion in two kinds and get together for morning tea after the 10am service. Please continue to check in with the QR code or by signing the attendance register. Sanitiser and wipes are available for your use at the back of the church.
All Saints
We have a final figure for the parish share of the sale of All Saint’s - $1,067,779.23. This money will be invested in ASMIF with parish getting the interest on the money as income to run Onslow Anglicans. This income will go towards to replacing the rent from BHK, All Saints’ vicarage and the cell phone tower at All Saints.
Age Concern – Steady As You Go classes
Starting on Tuesday 20 October at 11.00am in the parish hall.
Steady As You Go classes are designed to improve balance and leg strength, flexibility, general fitness and well-being.
The classes consist of a combination of sitting, standing and walking exercise and take around an hour. They are ideal for complete beginners, are ongoing and are established by one of Age Concern staff members.
The idea is that at the end of 10 weeks you will be able to see how much you have improved and, hopefully, after the initial course classes will be peer led.
No need to enrol just turn up 10 mins before the class starts. A gold coin donation/koha would be appreciated.
Services times
October and November will continue to be as they are now – 1st, 3rd and 4th Sundays at 8am and 10am with the second Sunday being our combined 9am service. November has 5 Sundays so services on 29th will be using reserved sacrament. The lovely Rosie Newport will be with us on 22nd November.
Wednesday Eucharist - This will be held on the first and third Wednesday of every month at 10:00 a.m.

Thank you in advance for your generosity.
Finally
Give us courage, O Lord, to stand up and be counted,
To stand up for those who cannot stand up for themselves,
to stand up for ourselves when it is needful for us to so.
Let us fear nothing more than we fear you,
let us live nothing more than we love you.
For thus we shall fear nothing also.
Let us have no other God before you,
whether nation, or party, or state, or church.
Let us seek no other peace but the peace which is yours,
and make us its instruments,
opening our eyes and our ears and our hearts,
So that we should know always what work of peace we may do for you.
