Dear friends,
Welcome to the week ahead together, as we know God's loving care, and support each other through these times. Please get in touch if you or anybody you know is in need of any support, companionship, prayer - our pastoral visitor team, community support network, prayer & care triplets, and all at St Mary's are here for mutual support, care, prayer. We hope there's also something in this e-news for you - please get in touch if you are searching for something else.
May God give to you and to all those you love through this week, his comfort and his peace, his light and his joy,
with love and prayers, Rev'd Sarah PS. Please forward this newsletter to any who you think might be interested, and ask them to email us if they'd like to receive St Mary's e-news regularly.
Starting from this Monday 28th Sept, all are welcome to simply come to St Mary's church for time of silent prayer together and chance to light a candle. Just drop in and nip out whenever you like between 6 and 6.30pm every Monday. Prayers will be silently prayed for all in our community, and beyond, and for the challenges so many people and our world faces. If you have particular prayer requests, do email or leave in box in church.
Macmillan Coffee Morning Sadly Friends of Shalford and St Mary's has had to cancel our planned cake sale and coffee morning today, Sat 26th. However.....we are hoping to raise funds for the amazing dedicated work of MacMillan. If you would like to donate, here is a link to our Macmillan fundraising page: https://thyg.uk/BUU004588896Thanks so much to Tricia for organising everything
Join Sunrise-St Mary's Worship Together Every Thursday 3.30pm, all welcome to join on zoom or with Rev Sarah in St Mary's church, as we join via zoom with our friends at Sunrise in Peasmarsh for an informal time of worship and companionship together. Please email Sarah for zoom link & join from your home. A wonderful way to support friends in care homes unable to receive personal visits.
St Mary's Small Fellowship Groups Hopefully we can start coming together this autumn in small fellowship groups (mostly now will have to meet via zoom, but hopefully it will be possible for a few to meet in church). A real chance to gently stay connected and share and support others too. We are still deciding which course groups would like to follow - more details soon, but please let us know if you'd like to join with others in fellowship in one of the small groups forming. This is a great chance to keep in touch with each other in a gentle, safe, and meaningful way through the coming autumn weeks when many will may be feeling cold and a little alone.
