Dear VCS Parents,

What a great week here at VCS!  Students are really starting to hit their groove in the classrooms and all aspects of their daily routines. We are blessed to be able to be in school five days a week and I pray each and every day that we will continue to be together. If we just take a moment and think about the last five weeks, we have not missed a day of school, we have no confirmed cases in any of our students. Please continue to pray for our teachers and every single one of our families that make up our school.

Today was a huge day for our school as we had our official groundbreaking for our new building with our middle school students. It was so neat to see our kindergarten students sitting outside on the basketball court watching the excavator move dirt, clapping, and cheering him on as he worked. It was a priceless moment to take in. We are so blessed to be helping our students discover their God-given design, equipping them to reach their full potential so that they can make a bold impact on this world for Christ. Just as a reminder, the new building, parking lot, and additional driveway, and the retention pond is costing right at $800,000. We have secured $745,507 so far.  It is humbling to see how God is moving in the hearts of so many to help us build this building as we have committed to remaining debt-free.

I love being able to just praise God for all that he is doing here at Valley Christian School, we have so much to be thankful for.  Have a wonderful weekend and be sure to help your students prepare for SPIRIT WEEK starting Monday.  This week proves to be a great time for everyone.

In His Service,
Brad Dunn
Head of School

Homecoming

Homecoming this year will look a little different. On Saturday, Oct. 3, instead of a dance, the student government is hosting high school students to a casual night of fun, food, and games here on our campus. The evening will begin at 5 p.m. with the homecoming court presentation in the gym. This is a casual dress presentation. Parents are invited to attend this portion of the evening.
  • Students will then be served a dinner of pulled pork, beans, and chips
  • Dinner is followed by games, played outside weather permitting
  • A bonfire to take place at the campground across the street will finish the evening
  • Parents should plan to pick up students from the school at 10 p.m.
  • Tickets are $8 and may be purchased in advance from Mrs. Westpfahl or Mr. Birr.

Apparel Orders

Cliffhanger shirts are IN. If you ordered a black Cliffhanger theme t-shirt, they are IN and have been sent home with your child. The navy/grey Warrior apparel is supposed to be delivered by Tuesday, just in time for Spirit Week next week, so be on the lookout for that, we will be sending them home with students unless you instructed us otherwise.

Got Leaves?

The senior class is offering their services for fall clean up. All proceeds benefit the senior class and every job will be supervised by Mr. Peterson. Please see this flyer for pricing and details.
