Our COVID-19 testing team has come a long way since the first day of testing 171 people at La Tropicana out of our truck in May. Since then, COVID testing in our county has grown and grown. In August, we’ve administered a total of around 40,000 tests—a huge leap! We want to thank everyone who has shown up for a test for your part in keeping the community safe.
Widespread testing provides a more accurate picture of how many cases exist in our community and helps us understand how and where the virus is spreading. Testing helps identify people without symptoms who could be spreading COVID-19 so that they can stay away from work and public places until their infectious period is over.
Please continue to get tested, whether it’s through your provider or visiting us at one of our testing locations: www.sccfreetest.org
Thank you and take care,
