Welcome to our new board members!

Keisha Solanki

Secretary

I am a sophomore from Cary, NC, majoring in Statistics and Economics. I chose this combination of majors to find a way to apply my technical skills to real-world scenarios, particularly political analysis. Outside of CADS, I am also a member of Student Government. I think CADS has a very diverse body of members and I’m excited to help create networking opportunities within the organization as well as with our alumni.

Ivvone Zhou

Design Co-Chair

I'm a first-year Quantitative Biology and Statistics major from Maryland who—to no one's surprise—likes to draw, paint, and mess around with digital art. I'm excited to join the CADS Board as Design Co-Chair to add to the visual look and style of CADS by creating awesome graphics! When I'm not doing design-related things, I like listening to musical drama and brushing up on my programming skills.

Wei Zhou

First-Year Representative

My name is Wei Zhou. I am currently a freshman at UNC majoring in Mathematics.

Amit Parikh

First-Year Representative

I'm a first-year student majoring in Computer Science and Business. Data Science has been an interest of mine for the past few years. I especially enjoy working on personal projects regarding sports analytics. I've really enjoyed being a part of CADS so far, and I want to help share this awesome club with other students. I hope to meet you all soon!

We are so excited to announce that our annual hackathon, the CDC, will be held virtually this year during the first weekend of October. Participant groups hack on datasets across a variety of fields, including finance, sports, and social good! The Data Challenge is open to participants of all skill levels, and there will be plenty of resources to help you out along the way as well as helpful workshops, fun activities, and cool prizes.

This year, we want to further encourage the use of the CDC for personal, educational, and professional development. A LinkedIn page has been set up to use for connecting your final projects to the CDC and building your virtual resume.

We are also active with updates on Facebook and Instagram through the CADS accounts as well as our freshly revamped website (shout-out to our awesome web developer Deven Jahnke), so please check it out for more information and to register!
