"Change only becomes impossible when you don't take action."
Tom Bilyeu
It is a beautiful summer day and you are cruising down the highway. You are only 10km from your destination when your car begins to shutter. You suddenly realize that you forgot to fill up with gas before you left this morning. Your car stalls out as you pull over and park safely on the shoulder. You are on a pretty quiet highway with little to no traffic and your phone has no service.

You are left with two options:

1) Put on your hazards, sit and wait, and hope that someone will come along to help you out.

OR

2) Get out of your vehicle, throw it in neutral, and start pushing.

You decide to go with option #2 because you are a "go-getter". You don't believe in sitting around, waiting, and hoping that something will happen. You hop out of your car and get to work.

You get started.

Unfortunately you quickly realize that this is going to be A LOT more difficult than you originally thought. The car is really heavy and barely moving. You are working really hard but just can't seem to make any real progress. You take 3 more steps and quit. You take a look around and realize that no one is coming to help so you might as well get back to work.

This time you give more effort. You are ready to bring it and just keep pushing. You now start to dig in even more and push a little harder. And a little harder. And little harder. Now the car is picking up some speed and you have transitioned from a fast walk to a slow jog. The momentum of the car is almost carrying you forward at this point and it is actually getting a little easier. You are now running and getting a little tired but you refuse to quit. You say to yourself, "I will never get there if I stop moving." So you just keep putting one foot in front of the other. You have learned how much effort is required to get started but how much easier it is to just keep the momentum going once you're moving.

You take a quick look up and see a similar looking person in a similar looking situation parked on the shoulder. He has his hazard lights on and is sitting with his head hanging down as he stares at the floor. He sees you coming and pops his head out of the window in pure astonishment. As you are running by him pushing your car you shout to him in his car, "JUST GET STARTED!! It is SO much easier once you get moving."

You watch in the mirror as the man exits his car, leans forward and starts pushing.
Life is a lot like this analogy.

Are you going to sit, wait, and hope for the best? Or will you get started and get to work?

Getting started is the hardest part, however, the longer you do something the easier it becomes. You build momentum by enduring the hard times and sticking with it. The longer you do something the more momentum you will have. It becomes a habit. It becomes easier.

Just get started and never look back.

You got this.
