Heading into Summer - feeding our Orchard and our Community

Hi everyone
Firstly we are looking ahead to a Summer Fiesta in the orchard on Sunday afternoon December 6th. Mark it in your diaries. It will be both a fundraiser for us and an afternoon to relax and enjoy some live music, refreshments and Xmas crafting, See note below on preparing for the silent auction fundraiser.

Secondly - we have planned a busy bee this Saturday afternoon!
We'll be preparing trees for summer, with food and water, getting our retic system flushed and retic and extended to new plantings.. See details below.

Day: Saturday Oct 17th
Time: 2:00 - 3:30 pm
What to bring: gloves, closed shoes, shovel, hat and water bottle
What will we be doing: feeding and watering trees, weeding around trees, digging some new retic lines
Covid-safe practices: please maintain good social distancing while undertaking activities. We'll have hand-washing facilities available. When you arrive, please sign a volunteers register.

Finally could you join the watering roster? We are gathering a team who will each take on a regular 10-15minute watering session weekly or fortnightly over some or all of the summer. Let us know via email.

Preparing for our Fiesta Fundraiser
We're on the look out for items suitable to be part of a silent auction prize - garden or food related or a potential Xmas present are always a good fit. Bring it to the busy bee or email us.

Becoming a financial member and/or regular donor ...
If you would like to become a member and support the orchard financially, we would be very grateful. 2020 has been a tight year for us financially. 1-year or 3-year membership fees, single and regular donations are a critical stream of income for the orchard, in order to grow the orchard and the associated infrastructure and pay our insurance premiums.
