Dear colleague,

We would like to invite you to register for the two lunchtime events we have coming up on 16 October (this Friday!) and 21 October.

Friday 16 October, 12.30-14.00: in this lunchtime seminar, we will meet representatives from three of the organisations we have supported:

Francesca Bocchini – EMERGENCY (IT)
Irina Vasilescu – Pe Stop (RO)
Ángel M. Franco – Federación Española de Bancos de Alimentos (ES)

David O’Sullivan, former EC Secretary General, will chair the event. Stefan Schaefers, Director of the King Baudouin Foundation, will also participate in the discussion.

Wednesday 21 October, 12.30-14.00: during this participatory workshop, we will learn about the challenges ahead and define together how our fund can contribute to building a "new normal" within the planetary boundaries.

The workshop will begin with an expert introduction on the socio-economic and environmental impact of the pandemic:

Greet Janssens-Maenhout (JRC, Ghent University)
Massimiliano Mascherini (Eurofound)
Sotiria Theodoropoulou (ETUI, Positive Money Europe)

After the introductory contributions, we will work in groups to identify the principles and priorities for our strategy to fund a green and fair recovery.
