Volunteer and Do Your Part

to GOTV

Image shows John Lewis saying get in good trouble          We have an opportunity for YOU to reach out to friends and family to encourage them to vote. We are using an app called Empower which syncs with the contacts on your phone so you can determine which people in your phone contact list need a nudge when it comes to voting!
Join us on Oct 21st 4 pm-5 pm or Oct 22nd 11 am-12 pm for a training on how to use Empower.

Picking Your Next School Board

Student Advocacy Center, in collaboration with the Michigan Education Justice Coalition, has been proudly hosting school board candidate forums in five school districts.

We have learned more about how candidates plan to approach discipline and equity, as well as budget cuts, should they arise. You can check out videos on our facebook page to learn more about what the School Board Candidates for Lincoln Consolidated, Jackson, Ann Arbor and Van Buren schools had to say.

We have one more forum! Join us on Saturday Oct 17th for a Ypsilanti School Board Candidate Forum, co-hosted with Educate Youth.

You still need more information? We get it! As part of a statewide effort, we have helped to reach out to school board candidates across Washtenaw and Jackson counties and asked them to fill out surveys.

You can learn more about where they stand on key education justice issues by visiting www.MichiganEdJustice.org.
