Spark took a break without meaning to, and I don't think anyone of us wonders why. We're here again and on to…what's next.

For more than three years we've been about writing, encouragement, and the power of fandom, while also keeping you updated on Improbable Press, the small press for which I'm commissioning editor. So I'd like to know what you want next.

The Watches of the Night
By Darcy Lindbergh

Night falls, and London comes alive.

Sherlock Holmes has dedicated his life to uncovering the things that happen in the nights, but he has his own secrets hiding in the shadows, too.

As Dr John Watson begins to understand the shape of Holmes’ secrets, he starts to understand his own, and together Holmes and Watson must navigate the dangers of the intimate nights they spend together.

And the ones they don’t.

The Stag God
By J.O. Phael

Former detective Brodie Henshall's Scotland getaway turns into a literal disaster when an earthquake hits the Isle of Skye – crumbling the famous Old Man of Storr right on top of a stranger.

Who turns out to have been dead before the massive rock fell.

Brodie teams up with local detective Mathias Caradoc, and together they investigate an ever-growing series of supernatural happenings, and start to fall for each other.

Beset by new visions, old witchcraft, and strange phenomena, Henshall and Caradoc must solve a mystery, watch each other's backs, and, ultimately, face the Stag God.

Ghost Story
By G.V. Pearce

John Watson loves his husband, but he'd like Sherlock Holmes to leave this case alone.

They're supposed to be taking a break from London. From work. But then again, when has Sherlock’s brain ever taken a holiday? And honestly, the strange disappearance of Gloria Evans bothers them both—though for very different reasons.

Not every one of Sherlock's cases is high stakes.

Not every case is a matter of life or death.

But sometimes it is.

Do Sherlock Holmes and John Watson have a ghost of a chance in solving what happened to Gloria Evans?
