Dear Friends and Fellow Republicans

I hope that each of you watched last night's debate.  If however you were not able to, let me politely sum up what occurred.  It was a cakewalk, as Mike Pence clearly showed why he is qualified to be your Vice President, and Senator Kamala Harris spent most of her time trying not to answer the questions from moderator Susan Page of USA Today.

Before we go any further, Susan Page seemed less biased than Chris Wallace.  Yes Page is likely a Democrat, and at times she didn't press Senator Harris about not answering questions, but Page wasn't as overt in her partisanship as was Wallace.  If we were grading these things, Wallace deserved an F and Page a C-.

I watch debates twice.  First time with the sound off and then with the sound on.  Watching the debate with the sound off, you can see who looks comfortable in their own skin and who does not - who is presidential and who isn't. Pence looked calm, confident, and collected.  Harris seemed out of sorts and her body language was the portrayal of an angry person.  Don't believe me, even CNN picked up on this fact as one CNN "analyst" suggested that Harris not make so many facial expressions.  When CNN is giving a Democrat grief - you know all is not well in Leftist Paradise.

Harris, knowing that no one would vote for her or Biden if they told the truth about what they want to do to our country, refused to answer any questions about The Green New Deal, and packing the courts.  Pence properly reminded the audience that Harris refused to answer the questions.

More troubling for Team Biden/Harris was her clearly misrepresenting facts when it comes to the Supreme Court and nominating a Supreme Court Justice.  Harris stated that Lincoln didn't appoint a replacement justice for Taney in 1864 because (according to Harris) "Honest Abe said it wasn't the right thing to do".

Lincoln clearly didn't nominate a replacement for Taney because he needed the potential nominees to campaign hard for his re-election.  If Lincoln had nominated Chase in mid 1864, then the others in contention may not have worked quite so hard for the team.  Dan McLaughlin wrote about this in the National Review Online, I'll send you a link if you ask.

On a different subject, I was in Lynchburg and Botetourt last night - addressing the Party faithful.  Don't let the false polls fool you, Trump is in good shape and likely to win come November 3.  It's great to talk to each of you, and hear your concerns about the future of this Country and what we need to to do take back Virginia.  I can assure each of you that the 6th District Committee is hard at work to ensure that Virginia remains a conservative state.

Thanks from the bottom of my heart to each of you for all the hard work you are doing, and are going to do.  It is only with your help that we will take back Virginia!

I remain your servant
