Dear Church,
Gratitude is the heartbeat of our faith. To live with gratitude is to live with an openness to the blessings great and small we encounter. Gratitude reminds us that we do not own or control this world or this life. We are recipients of God's grace and all that we are and all we experience is a gift from God. M. Craig Barnes, President of Princeton Theological Seminary writes, "When you are grateful that means that you have done the hard work of attending to what God is doing in your life." There is much to be thankful for. The changing of seasons, a good meal, a warm and sunny day. In today's newsletter, we are grateful for Clyde Parker our Minister of Music Emeritus who retired a year ago. We have made a special newsletter to celebrate Clyde's contributions to the life of our Church that can be found below. In this season of so much change, we hold on to gratitude, remembering that there is much to be thankful for. We remember the adage of an old hymn of faith. Count our blessings and name them one by one.
With Love & Prayers,
Rev. Brandon C. Harris
