Should you be displaying a
QR code poster?

If your business or venue falls into one of the sectors or categories that should provide a customer log, then you must now display an NHS QR code poster at your venue. Our enforcement officers are here to support local businesses, but failure to comply could see Fixed Penalty Notices issued. Thank you to everyone who is playing their part!

Venues where it is mandatory to display a QR poster include:

  • hospitality services, including pubs, bars, restaurants and cafés

  • tourism and leisure services, including hotels, museums, cinemas and amusement arcades

  • close contact services, including hairdressers, barbershops and tailors (including mobile businesses)

If you have a business venue that is open to members of the public, you are still encouraged to display a poster.
