Nominating Committee Announces President Elect

Kelly Kaysonpheth slated for JLP President in 2022 - 2024.

The Nominating Committee of Junior League of Phoenix is pleased to announce they have selected Kelly Kaysonepheth as President Elect (PE). She is slated to follow Jennie Elser’s presidency and will begin her tenure in 2022 through 2024.

Kelly is a business development and marketing professional with a passion for people and community. She has been actively involved with Junior League of Phoenix since 2010, when she transferred from Morristown, NJ. She brings 15 years of experience in the engineering industry, leading proposal pursuits through client outreach and creative capture planning and has secured more than $350M in design work for the transportation industry to date.

The core of her community service has been concentrated on advancing women’s leadership development opportunities, STEM programming and mentoring first-generation and low-income students to reach their fullest potential. Within JLP, Kelly has held many roles, including as a Mentor/Coach for AJLI’s Small Leagues Fast Track Program, chair of the Southwest Exchange conference in 2019, Executive Vice President 2016 – 2018, Development Manager 2015 – 2016, and VP of Communications & Marketing 2014 – 2015. Kelly has also Chaired the ROCKETS and Desert Mission Snack Pac Backpack Programs.

She was inspired to apply for the President position to help reflect on our platform, our legacy, and increase conversations about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Kelly is passionate about ensuring JLP reflects a commitment to DE&I, and is committed to having brave conversations about how we can be more intentional in our efforts in this space. Her belief that “the only way to grow is to venture into the unknown” will lead JLP to continue our commitment to our mission while remaining relevant.

Kelly has received JLP’s Mary Ogilvy Golden Kazoo Award, been nominated for the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce’s ATHENA Award, recognized as 40 Under 40 by the Phoenix Business-Journal in 2015 and was recently listed by Engineering News-Record in its 2019 Top 20 Under 40 Outstanding Young Professionals in the Southwest Region. She is married to Tony Hultz and together they have two children: Lucy (2) and Max (1).
