Dear Colleagues, Friends and Neighbors,
This year, we have found new reasons to celebrate, created new ways to gather, and most importantly, found a renewed togetherness in supporting our communities. For the last several months, the SSM Health Foundation – St. Louis team has worked diligently to adapt to our new environment and continue to raise funds for patients and their families within the SSM Health community, including through our annual gala. This year’s gala, Hope Blooms, served as a reminder to all that, through the compassionate hearts of those who choose to do good, hope truly blooms.
Prior to the gala, attendees and the public alike were invited to bid in the Hope Blooms silent auction, featuring VIP trips, an autographed guitar, custom artwork, and more. Supporters celebrated with a countdown to the gala by bidding on items and sharing stories of hope and persistence throughout the SSM Health community. Thanks to the generous support of our communities, this inspirational evening raised $234,667 with proceeds directly benefiting patients and families served by SSM Health Cancer Care and SLU Cancer Care.
At a time when we have seen the immunocompromised face greater risk from the pandemic, this support will help to fund innovative and life-saving resources and programs centered around treating the patient, not just the disease.
