The GLIIHC Youth Empowerment Program is a native youth program that aims to cultivate awareness and provide education on substance abuse and suicide prevention through activities for youth ages 7-19 years. The program utilizes a strengths based approach to foster empowerment, increase resilience, strengthen cultural identity, promote leadership skills, and support family engagement through a holistic approach to health and wellness.
HEY YEP FRIENDS! 
We miss our youth & families and would like to stay connected, while continuing to take safety precautions with COVID. Join in our YEP VIRTUAL programming schedule during October – December of 2020. 
*All are welcome to participate on our FB live events. Youth must be registered with YEP to participate in the zoom sessions and receive activity supplies prior to the scheduled dates; see contact information to register a native youth ages7-19. Must be 8th grade + for Seasons of Change teen girls group.

Did you know you can adjust your following settings to be alerted when a live video starts?! At the top of YEP's FB page click the (...) button, then click "following" and in those settings make sure you adjust the videos and live videos to "ALL" and set posts to "STANDARD". Don't miss an opportunity to join in and earn an entry for the monthly family gift card drawings!!

- MONTHLY PRIZE DRAWING - 
          Participation in YEP’s virtual programming will enter families into a monthly gift card prize drawing to Walmart, Target, Amazon, or Marcus Theatres!! There will be 2 winners drawn at the completion of each month. The greater participation within a month, the more chances you have to win!
          To gain an entry for our fb live events, families must interact via a comment left on the video either while it is live or after it’s been posted to the feed. Youth earn a prize entry for our zoom sessions just by joining in. Only families with native youth ages 7-19 located in the greater MKE area are eligible to win prizes; registration is required to participate in the zoom sessions.

There is local support available here at GLIIHC for those struggling with suicide or in a mental health crisis. Our behavioral health clinic provides crisis intervention, counseling services, therapeutic groups, and resources.
