Looking for an opportunity to connect with and meet young adults in our merging parish? Join us this Sunday for coffee and donuts! We'll attend Mass and then meet outside for a chance to enjoy the company of others.

Wednesdays following 7 p.m. Mass at St. Raphael
We are excited to continue one of our most popular events. Join us this Wednesday following 7:00 p.m. Mass at St. Raphael church for a bonfire. Not sure how to find the fire pit? Meet up at the main entrance following Mass.

Lectio Divina | Oct. 9, 7 p.m.
Join Oakland Young Adult Ministry for Lectio Divina, the ancient practice of reading and praying over scripture. On Friday, October 9, you are invited to gather in Synod Hall at 7:00 p.m. to pray together, reflect on the Gospel reading for the upcoming Sunday, and faith share. Read more here.
Ultimate Frisbee | Oct. 10, 2 p.m.
Come on out this Saturday, October 10 to join the Catholic Sports and Rec group for Ultimate Frisbee! The group will meet at 2 p.m. at the Schenley Park Oval. Read more here.
Fall Bonfire and Speaker | Oct. 17, 6:30 p.m.
Join Oakland Young Adult Ministry for a BYOB fall bonfire and speaker on Saturday, October 17 beginning at 6:30 pm at Trinity Acres in Carnegie. The guest speaker, Father Dan Walsh, will be speaking about the importance of images in the church, with stories about the Amazon! Read more here.
Mass with Relics of St. John Paul II | Oct. 22, 6:30 p.m.
Join Dry Bones Ministries for Holy Mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary on Polish Hill on October 22. As part of this Mass, celebrants will offer a blessing with several relics of St. John Paul II. In preparation for Mass, Fr. John Freedy (who was in Rome for the funeral and beatification of St. John Paul II) will offer a talk beginning around 6:30 p.m. Read more here.
P3: Prayer, Penance, Pumpkins | Monday, Oct. 26, 2020
The Capuchin Franciscans and Our Lady of the Angels-Maria Goretti Young Adults invite you to join in fall festivities on Monday, October 26th at 7PM. A Holy Hour with praise & worship and confessions will follow Our Lady of the Angels’ 6:30PM Mass. Afterwards, a social will follow with autumnal beverages and snacks, fellowship, and pumpkin carving (BYOP—bring your own pumpkin!). Bring a camp chair and enjoy the crisp fall weather with other Catholic young adults. The social will be held outside, weather permitting. Read more and follow event updates here.

Volunteers are need to help sanitize both Sacred Heart and St. Raphael churches after Masses. If interested in signing up or learning more, email us at sacredheart20plus@gmail.com.
Power the Polls
The county is recruiting Poll Workers so Pittsburgh won't have long lines again at the polls on November 3rd. Based on the number of workers, the County will decide how many polling stations to have. Click here for more details.
