We don’t have eye witness records of what Jewish looked like. He was certainly Jewish, black hair, olive skin, average height. However, see “Jesus, Plain and Simple" (http://ldolphin.org/simple.html).

Jesus promised to return in person, but that was 2000 years ago, and most people down below on the planet have long ago forgotten His promise. Lots of people don’t think Jesus was anyone special. After two millennia He’s certainly way out of touch with our reality?

Here is the definitive report concerning His first visit to earth and His departure ~33 years later:

"The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, until the day in which He was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen, to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God. And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, 'which,' He said, 'you have heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.'"

"Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, 'Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?' And He said to them, 'It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.'”

"Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said, 'Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.'” (Luke, Acts 1:1-12)

Jesus, by the way, never married and that was very unusual for a Jewish young man back then http://ldolphin.org/single.html. But His whole purpose on that first visit was to confront and resolve the problem of human evil.

“...God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. (2 Corinthians 5:19-21)

Jesus is, however, now at this time, about to take a Bride! Jesus is not marrying one individual Jewish girl, however, but a whole bunch of us! It’s all about relationships!

Having successful accomplished the mission God the Father assigned Him to carry out, Jesus returned from the realm of the dead, and after 40 days among His eleven disciples, the Son of God reported back to Command Central in order that He and the Father could send down the Third Member of their team, namely, God the Holy Spirit.

The Spirit arrived in time in Jerusalem ten days after Jesus left, on the annual Jewish feast of Pentecost.

Also, God the Father transmitted to Jesus final authority and power to manage the entire universe.

“God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they." (Hebrews 1:1-4)

“...through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers having been made subject to Him.“ (1Peter 3:21,22).

Meanwhile, God has opened wide a door of opportunity for anyone on earth: rich or poor, young or old, both sexes, all races, to know the same Jesus while we are waiting — personally, intimately, one-on-one, here and now — today.

This is especially amazing because 7800 million people live on the planet and only a few ever allow Jesus to set them free from sin and death.
