Here is Tuesday's Ride Report from Jeff Johnson...
The two obstacles to overcome in the Spinners late season ride Tuesday were a brisk west wind and the looming bright sunset we didn’t want to share the road with evening commuters. So we headed south into Rockton, across the Rock River and through the Williamson Parkway neighborhood near the site of the old Wagon Wheel Resort. As usual the Hammers pounded out extra miles but we all made it back before the 88 minutes of daylight receded.
With daylight gradually fading, the time to start our Tuesday rides from the parking lot behind the Beloit Bicycle Company is now:
5 PM
Don't forget to have a front light & blinkies in the back because the sun goes down very quickly and many of us will be riding back to our start point at dusk!
There is very good news in that the bridge over Turtle Creek on Smith Road is completed--thanks Carl for that report.
