October 15th is the memorial of our patroness, St. Teresa of Avila! Here's a short video about her life.
From the Pastor's Desk: The Autumn Months

Dear Parishioners,

I want to address the statement that St. Teresa Parish is closing and merging with Our Lady of Charity Parish. THIS IS A RUMOR, indeed.

The process of renewal spoken of by Bishop Scharfenberger is not about Church closings, but about renewal. Please think of this process as a renewal initiative, not a process of closing St. Teresa Church or any other church for that matter.

I love the Autumn months, just thinking ahead to Thanksgiving and Christmas give me a wonderful feeling.

Thank God for countless blessings Bestowed on us each year, The precious gifts to treasure Which daily appear.

Thank God for every sunset, The dawning of each day, The golden flood of moonbeams, And stars which light our way.

Thank God for every handelasp, For every loyal friend, And for the joy of laughter, The songs which have no end.

Thank God for fragrant flowers, For every pleasant smile, For all the countless blessings Which meet us mile by mile.

By Hilda Butler Farr

In counting our blessings, let us show our gratitude to God by perhaps volunteering at a homeless shelter, or at a food pantry, or at any charitable organization serving others. Doing so is Christmas all year because giving of our time and talent to others is loving God by loving His people, whom we may not even know by name.

Peace, Father Jim
