It is Family Promise Week! Affiliates across the country are setting aside October 18-25 to bring attention to the need of families experiencing homelessness and to celebrate all our volunteers, donors, supporters, and community leaders! You can participate in the following ways:
SHARE: Donate to our winter clothing drive October 17 or October 24:
ADVOCATE: Use your social media to end stereotypes of those who are homeless and promote Family Promise. We will be sharing one post every day- you can share ours or use facts from the Family Promise web page!
HOPE: Look to the future of how Family Promise can serve Waukesha County. Tour our new location which will play a significant role in making our hopes and dreams a reality.
Family Promise of Waukesha County is happy to welcome Patrice Hofbauer and Rebecca Seymour to the Board of Directors. They were elected to the board on October 12. .

Family Promise of Waukesha County has over 1300 people who serve as volunteers. We want to highlight some of those individuals, so you know how others get involved. These volunteers, supporters, donors, and Family Promise friends are what make this organization function. These are our heroes and inspiration. Today we profile Lauren Morrison, the Volunteer Coordinator at Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hartland.
Due to Covid-19 Family Promise of Waukesha County has suspended our rotational/congregational shelter model. We have been working to find an alternate and temporary way to shelter families. One idea we are pursuing is to shelter families in a single-family dwelling (apartment or duplex) for up to 90 days. It is our hope to develop a network of apartments and duplexes that might be used for temporary shelter. We are looking for a two- that costs less than a $1000 or less or three-bedroom for less than $1200. The residence needs to be on a bus-line. If you have an option, please reach out to Joe.
