Tom's Pick
I wonder how long it will take for us to accept A.I. generated performances as typical and start to critique them as we do normal media. Here is a piano performance generated solely from a MIDI file. The A.I. determined the fingerings etc. I bet it's less than a decade before some young hot-shot's custom A.I. is being reviewed on Pitchfork as the next big pop sensation.

A while back I linked to an interesting deck on how Costco runs their business, and how it makes them resilient to economic downturns or trends towards online shopping. The person responsible for that deck is back with another one, about The New York Times, and how in the last few years they have completely turned their company around.
Studio Neat turned 10 years old last Saturday (yay!), and we had a fun time walking down memory lane with this Twitter thread

Stay safe,
Tom & Dan
