CPF Board Election - LAST CHANCE TO VOTE!
Voting in the 2020 CPF Board Election will close on Monday. If you have not voted, you may request a ballot at the link below.

This year, there are (2) Community-based Board seats on the ballot and (5) nominees, of which members are asked to make 2 selections. 

The nominees are:

$20 Billion Added To Expanded Provider Relief Fund
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced this week that an additional $20 billion has been added to the Provider Relief Fund. Providers that have already received Provider Relief Fund payments are now able to apply for additional funding that considers financial losses and changes in operating expenses caused by the coronavirus

Previously ineligible providers, including those who began practicing in 2020 and an expanded group of behavioral health providers, are eligible to apply for relief payments as well. The current application deadline is Nov. 6.

TNAAP's annual Tennessee State Pediatric Conference has been transitioned to a series of online webinars focused on topics relevant to issues facing pediatricians. Still to Come:

CPF CME Virtual Education
"Vascular Anomalies" 
Wednesday, Nov 4 - 6 PM
Dr. Jim Phillips, Assistant Professor in Otolaryngology at VUMC, and Dr. Alexandra Borst, Assistant Professor in Pediatric Hematology-Oncolocy at VUMC, will be delivering a presentation for hospital and community-based pediatricians on Vascular Anomalies.

The presentation is approved for CME and MOC Part 2 credit for live attendees.

COVID-19 Resources
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and Department of Defense (DOD) released two documents on Sept. 16 outlining for state, tribal, territorial, and local public health programs and partners how to plan and implement a strategy to deliver the COVID-19 vaccine. 
The AAP is providing updated clinical guidance that is regularly reviewed with regards to the evolving nature of the pandemic. 
The Tennessee Department of Health (TDH) continues to post regular COVID-19 updates related to case reporting, triage and assessment, exposure for healthcare providers, lab testing options, and more:
TDH is also tracking a number of school-related measures and providing resources to help guide the return to school for children:

TN Healthcare Symposium - Nov 10-12
The 2020 Tennessee Healthcare Symposium is a collaborative event between the Tennessee Medical Association (TMA) and major insurance carriers to help practice managers, coders, billers, auditors, and other medical office staff focus on efficiency and financial success.

This year, the Symposium will be virtual with full remote access, more than 20 unique educational sessions, and up to 17.5 CEU and CME credits for full participation.

Cost: $99 for TMA members, $149 for non-members
