O novo formato do Golfo Místico assenta primeiramente no convite a um artista plástico para propor, dentro da sua obra produzida, uma peça que desencadeará todo o processo criativo do evento. A partir da observação dessa peça, o curador do ciclo João Madeira, elabora uma estrutura para a peça musical a ser improvisada/composta em tempo real. É selecionado um trio de músicos improvisadores que irão interpretar ao vivo a peça musical composta através de uma nova experiência performativa com base no processo de improvisação “às cegas”. Ou seja, cada músico estará isolado num espaço diferente da galeria, parte de um trio que não se ouve entre si. Deste processo esperam-se resultados surpreendentes de sincronia e coesão.
Durante a performance, decorrerá na sala de concertos da Zaratan a projecção da partitura musical pela qual cada um dos músicos se rege individualmente, assim como a mistura sonora em tempo real dos 3 instrumentistas. O público terá a opção de ouvir a mistura sonora na sala de concertos, ou de circular pelo espaço e ouvir a interpretação individual de cada um dos músicos, ouvindo, nesse momento, apenas um deles. Nesta nona sessão do ciclo o artista convidado é JOÃO MOURO, que apresenta "Concept Car - O carro de Kunstantin" (2013), uma escultura de grande formato inspirada no imaginário do design de automóveis e construída a partir de materiais velhos e reciclados. A proposta musical composta por JOÃO MADEIRA será interpretada ao vivo por MÁRIO RUA (bateria), NUNO REBELO (guitarra) e HERNÂNI FAUSTINO (baixo).
Para cumprir com as regras de contenção da pandemia, e com a necessidade de limitar a lotação do espaço, o evento será repetido em 3 sets (16:30 | 17:30 | 18:30) e pedimos a marcação de lugares mediante reserva (boooking@zaratan.pt). /// The new format of Golfo Místico is based primarily on the invitation to a visual artist to propose, within his produced work, a piece that will trigger the entire creative process of the event. From the observation of this piece, the curator of the cycle João Madeira, elaborates a structure for the musical piece to be improvised / composed in real time. A trio of improvisational musicians will be selected to perform the musical composition live through a new performative experience based on a “blind” improvisational process. In other words, each musician will be isolated in a different space in the gallery, as part of a trio whose components cannot hear each other. From this process, surprising results of synchrony and cohesion are expected.
During the performance, the projection of the musical score by which each of the musicians conduct themselves individually will be shown in the Zaratan concert room, together with the sound, mixed in real-time, of the 3 instrumentalists. The public will have the option to listen to the sound mix in the concert hall, or to circulate through the space and listen to the individual interpretation of each of the musicians, hearing, at that moment, only one of them.
In order to comply with the pandemic containment rules, and with the need to limit the space capacity, the event will be repeated in 3 sets (16:30 | 17:30 | 18:30) and we request the booking of seats upon reservation (boooking@zaratan.pt).

As coisas mudaram ao toque. O futuro chegou como se nunca tivesse sido imaginado, como se ontem já não tivesse chegado. O doméstico, tornou-se um pouco mais confortável, adquiriu graciosidade, libertação para os problemas dos outros. O corpo, o fluxo de diversidade em constante movimento é adormecido,
revogado na meditação dos sentidos, libertado apenas por estados mediados concebidos por um ou dois ecrãs companheiros. Future Nothing explora o doméstico, o pessoal, o externo, a visualização da distância como um passo na direção da compreensão do livre arbítrio e do imediato na projecção do outro. /// Things have changed to the touch.The future arrived like it never was imagined, like yesterday wasn’t already. Dwelling was made slightly more comfortable, acquired graciousness, something of deliverance to the problems of others. The body, the flux of diversity in constant motion is put to sleep, revoked into meditation of the senses, liberated only through mediated states of attention devised by one or two companion screens. All systems pause. Future Nothing explore the domestic possibilities of landscape, visualization of distance as a step towards the understanding of free will and immediacy in the projection of otherness.
BIO: Nuno Direitinho nasceu em 1981 em Lisboa onde reside. Temos o prazer de anunciar a chegada de JEON HYUN JEONG no programa de residências da Zaratan, Jeon Hyun Jeong é escritora de livros infantis na Coreia do Sul. Vive e trabalha em Seul. Obteve um mestrado em arquitetura e projetou edifícios numa empresa de design de arquitetura. Embora a sua formação seja em arquitetura, a escritura tem sido uma ferramenta expressiva importante para o seu percurso desde nova. Após deixar a empresa, escreveu vários gêneros de textos, como artigos sobre viagens, colunas sobre arquiteturas tradicionais coreanas, ou guiões para peças dramáticas. Depois de se tornar mãe, apaixonou-se por livros infantis e começou a escrever as suas próprias histórias. Estreou como escritora em 2013 e recebeu o 19º Prêmio Goblin de Ouro com “Cheer Up!” Eun Chan. Por meio dos seus livros, expressa o seu interesse pelo meio ambiente e sua variedade de espécies, e conta histórias de mulheres escondidas das narrativas oficiais. Em 2017 foi selecionada como membro da equipa de Expedição Antártica e visitou a estação de pesquisa científica coreana e a Área Antártica protegida. Desta experiência surgiu o livro "Night show of Migratory Birds" que reflete sobre as mudanças climáticas. Acredita que uma boa história tem um poder que va além das gerações, que toca igualmente adultos e crianças. /// We are glad to announce the arrival at Zaratan AIR of JEON HYUN JEONG, a children's book writer from South Korea. She lives and works in Seoul. She majored architecture and she has been designed buildings in an architecture design firm. Even though her formation is in architecture, writing has been a tool to express herself since she was young.After leaving the company, she wrote different genres of writings, like travel columns, Korean traditional architectures,or drama scripts.After she became a mom, she fell in love with reading children's books and started to write her own stories.She received the 19th Golden Goblin Award with “Cheer Up!” Eun Chan, a children’s book adapted for her daughter from a drama she previously wrote, and debuted as a writer in 2013. Through her books she express her interest in the environment and it's variety of species, and she researches hidden woman in popular histories. She was selected as a member of the Antarctic Expedition team and visited the Korean science research station and the Antarctic Specially Protected Area in 2017. After this experience, she wrote the book" Night show of Migratory Birds" that reflects on climate change.She believes that a good story has power beyond generations, and can touch equally adults and children.
