World Mental Health Day

"Let’s invest more in mental health"

Mental health issues have been on the rise since the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis. The social and economic consequences of the lockdown have caused many Canadians to experience unmanageable stress and anxiety, which, in some cases, has produced clinical illnesses. Meanwhile, some of the people who were already grappling with mental health issues before the pandemic have become ever more vulnerable.

The loss of bearings, isolation, the unmanageable extra burden on families, the uncertainty about the future have become unbearable to many people. According to the Canadian Mental Health Association, more Canadians are thinking about suicide during the pandemic, which we should all be concerned about.
