2. Brief update following our Annual General Meeting
Fifty people attended the meeting on Thursday evening, and how lovely it was to see those familar faces and be able to say hello!

The 2020-2021 Committee
At the meeting, the current officers of the committee stood for re-election and were duly re-elected without opposition, as follows:
Librarian – Katharine Ingram
Treasurer – Carol Johnson
Publicity – Julia Maltby
Secretary – Deborah Mitchell
Box Office / Friends – Margaret Moules
Vice Chairman – John Newell
Stage Manager – Allan Pollock
Registrar – Sue Stephenson

Three choir members were voted onto the committee (a three-year term): Claire Heslop, Anne Rogers, Ildi Suri. We wish them all a warm welcome and thank them for putting themselves forward. They join Jon Blaine, Peter Smith and Elena Vorobeva as ordinary committee members.

Proposal re subs
Carol Johnson presented the committee's recommendation that, in view of the uncertainties, the membership subscription for the season should be reduced by 50%, from the amount previously set. The propsal was passed unanimously by the AGM. Members who would like to make a donation on top of their subs are welcome to do so; or they might consider registering as a Friend of the choir (contact Mags for more information about the Friends).

3. Subs for the season
Following the decision made at the AGM, this season's membership rates are as follows:
  • Full subscription: £65.00
  • Under 25s: £12.50
  • New members: £32.50
  • Members who joined part-way through the 2019/20 season: please email Sue to confirm the pro-rated amount due this season
If you have any queries or if you foresee any difficulty in paying your subs or meeting the deadline, please email Sue.

If you are a UK tax payer and would like the Society to benefit from gift aid on your subscription, you will need to complete a gift aid declaration. If you haven’t already completed a declaration please ask Carol (Treasurer) for a gift aid form.

How to make your subs payment:
We prefer payment by bank transfer.  The account details you need are:

When paying, please give the reference “SUBS”, followed by your last name, so that we can match payments to members.

4. Registration
Registration for the 2019-20 season is now open, and the deadline for registration and payment of subscriptions is 26 October (except new members). Please complete the membership registration form, here.
